PATCHWORK SHOPPING

I have had a great weekend - I went to visit the daughter at Uni, and whilst there managed to visit the local patchwork shop in the town. I t is always great to visit other patchwork shops other than the regular one where I live and drive the staff nuts. You know how it is - there is a l w a y s something that you havent seen, or just s o m e t h i n g that you have to have. As soon as we arrived the town, I was keen to get out of the car not realising that my husband's expensive sunnies were on the floor under my feet - whoops - they were squished as I got out the car. The poor dear sat in car trying to reshape his sunnies whilst I had quickly escaped into the patchwork shop. After about half an hour in the shop, and feeling very guilty, I watched from the shop window as he continued to reshape the frames. I thought it best to return to the car . After another 5 minutes of him still sitting there fiddling, I decided, I may as well get back into the shop for a longer squizz. Oops!!! an expensive stop that one was - am now up for a new pair of sunnies!!!!!

ANGEL CLUES!!!//

Time to doing MORE sewing , and to MINIMISE the blogging for the week - well its a thought anyway!!
Being new to the Blogging world, I have spent the entire week, Blogging instead of sewing. I can't believe that little half hours turn into hours! I have been madly looking to see if anyone has started their Angel projects. I have managed to find out some info about my Angel partner - who doesnt have a Blog, but hopefully she will soon so I'll keep you posted as time goes by. Iknow I cannot say who she is, but there is no reason why I cant put some clues out there. She lives overseas, is into fabric which I havent even heard of, so I have been researching that one. Now that I have discovered these fabrics, it is extremly different from my own personal style, so it should be an interesting result. I think that I will end up doing a mix of my own style too, but it is all in good fun.
Anyone have any updates on their projects????

P.S. I wonder if I spotted a "clue" on my Angel's blog today!!! I couldnt be that lucky - one could only wish if it were her!!

MUG BAG

This I made after seeing another mad keen quilter's
picture of her Mug Bag in a magazine. In fact, that was the start of me learning about blogs as I had no idea they even exsited until she
kindly informed me. Thank you Jo. YOu are an instpiration and now a regular blogging friend.

Secret Santa Swap Details

Wow - how exciting - I have today been given my partner's details for the Secret Santa Swap. After reading her blog, I feel that I already know her, and there is a heap of similiarities. I guess I will have to find more time to add to my blog, as at the moment in only having been blogging for a week, really only have limited info. To be honest, I really didnt know what to say, which is unusual for me!! (well anyone that knew me would say that anyway). So......between being a wife/mother of two teenagers and full-time worker, I am now going to have to get the sewing box out and put my thinking cap on get to starting something which my Swap partner will hopefully like.

Does anyone know if - "it has to be Christmas themed", or anything???

STITCHERS ANGEL PROGRAME

I am very excited to hear about this program and think that it is a great idea. I love sewing and making items, however, it will be exciting to receive something that someone else has made. I often go to various craft fairs etc looking for new inspiration, and often buy other peoples work, as it is nice to have something that I havent done.

JUST ANOTHER DAY BLOGGING

I am new to "blogging" so am struggling with the set up, however, I will persevere as enjoy ready many of the other mad keen sewing persons out there. This is my 3rd day at it after work. If there are any any helpful instructions or tips out there, I would love to hear from you.
