Scandanavian Christmas - Lynette Anderson's new pattern!!!

How easy it is to become sidetracked.
I fell in awe of this great new pattern by Lynette Anderson - her Scandinavian Christmas.  I was busting to  get started so after the pattern arrived, have now accumulated the material to get started.
I will be an interesting project as has a combination of applique, stitchery and cross stitch and a little wool felt also used -   anyway it is something a little different and Im looking forward to getting it together.
After tracing/cutting, compiling the pieces ready for applique, I have managed to get the first piece sewn in place. The use of the light box comes in very handy for this.

Also - there is a new "basting" glue out called "baste it", and I can say - it is excellent. You only need a few tiny drops around the circumference of the piece you are going to applique and after about 3-5 mins it is dry enough stitch in place. Can recommend this one. Watersoluable too!!

Happy Sewing
