If so, would love to hear from you.

NEW MAGAZINE - SUE SPARGO FEATURE
For anyone who likes the the flair and creativity that Sue Spargo puts together, working with felt, there is a new American Magazine - Better Homes and Garden - just published which has a feature on this wonderful lady.
She visited Australia earlier in the year and I believe that her workshops were great fun.
Her fabric medium is usually felt and she uses all kinds of things for embellishment. Something very different.
There is even a project to do.

AMONG THE GUMTREES
I have put this link in my sidebar - there are 9 designers whom have got together to form "Among the Gumtrees". They are having 9 giveaways and also designing some Christmas patterns. Hop on over the have a look, perhaps become a follower and enter their fabulous giveaways.
Naturally you cant attend a quilt show and buy nothing!!!
Of course a couple of "Country" things that I couldnt leave behind
some gorgeous Christmas fabric another of Nancy Halverson's that I couldnt resist.
And ,my favourite Japanese stand - Jane from Be Bond was there. I couldnt leave her standing there with all her fabulous material, so of course had to relieve her of some more for my stash.
There were various workshops - from making small one hour projects, to hand quilting lectures. I did a machine quilting workshop on some lovely Bernina Quilting machines that they had there , which were natuarlly on special..........mmmmm......thats another story!!!

AND FINALLY..... THE END RESULT!!!!!!!!
I hope I havent bored you too much with this ongoing quilt,
but I have had so many wonderful comments from you all.
Now this was a very quick turnaround - I gave this to my Quilter Anne on Monday and picked it up on Saturday. I am just to happy with the fabulous quilting job, that I just had to share it with you.
and of course - no quilt can be complete without a tag on the back.
Some closeups of Anne's fabulous quilting.......
Anne, has done all of my quilts to date and she does a fantasitc job. You can look at her link to see other designs she does here.
and this..
It is so nice to pick up after it has all been sandwiched together and to just sew the binding in place.
Fathers Day
How wonderful it was to have my two birdies home on the weekend to Celebrate father's day, and also along with my dear dad.
New Homespun Out
.... I was so pleased to see this in the Newsagents on the weekend, as I have been following the wonderful Mystery Quilt that Homespun has been doing all year. It is finally revealed in this one last brochure and looks fabulous. The designers have all done a fantastic job, and I am sure that there are so many people who have already started on this quilt - cant wait to see them popping up on blogs. Mine is in the "to do" list.

HUG SWAP 2009 - CLOSING TOMORROW 4TH SEPTEMBER
I have just come across another swap. It closes tomorrow however, it is for a mug warmer and mat.
You can do your own design or do the one that Vicki and Paula (Jenny of Elefantz) ( have kindly designed.
The girls say they are quick to make and fit into a normal sized envelope so postage wont cost much. Hope on over and sign up.
I have only been in the one swap this year, but oh well, just cant resist. I also have the link in my sidebar.

Can anyone relate to this.......
Off I went to the local patchwork shop to purchase the wadding for my quilt.
but instead ended up with more than I went out for....
so came back with this.......
(more goregeouse figgy pudding)
and this......
Stone Cottage collection - just love this range
and then.....
I couldnt even walk away from this Nancy Halverson's book, so had to have it.
so much for my "cheap" wadding!!!!!!!!
Next, I had to control my fingers from Annie Downs homepage
where I managed some great wools/felts and some cute patterns
including Sue Spargo's new pincushion book.
Please stop me if I buy more.
best I be off to sew
just had to share it with all you other keen stitchers.
