Queensland Shop hop...... and "run into Bloggers" hop trip!!!!

also some of Libby Richardson's little stitcheries.

We went to Queensland on Thursday and patient DH allowed me to visit some stores that I have not been to before as we so rarely travel to Queensland.

Stop 1 - Patchwork Angel @ Forest Glen on the Sunshine coast

and these are the little bits I picked ....
then the 2nd stop was off to Lynette Anderson's store -  "Little Quilt Store"

now this was a priority having wished to one day visit.

and I was served by this lovely lady whom I have often spoken to on the phone so it was lovely to meet Sae.

The shop was just delightful and everything I thought it would be.
Everything was just so what I love.

Next stop was in Maryborough at "Patchwork on Pallas" - this little shop was crammed full of lovely bits and pieces, patterns and fabrics.

Then we continued on the highway to Bundaberg and we pulled up the front of this shop,
which I thought was empty.
"The Quilters Shack"

however, I was wrong, and look how full this big shop was.

but..... to my astonishment after speaking to the lovely lady who was serving me and hearing a very "familiar" story about the floods in previous months ,  I then asked her name and she said Jenny!!!!! whom I them realised was from my online stitching group.
so of course a picture was in order.

(Luckily there is a tackle shop next door so hubby amused himself there for a while).
and just a few goodies I bought there, some more taupes  and some of Libby Richardson's stitcheries.

Next Stop was Hervey Bay and one very patient husband in tow, whilst I quickly ducked into this shop "Dewdrop Inn".
It too was enormous and I could have spent hours pondering, so make the best of the little time I spent here.

Owls being a favourite - I picked up a little kit , along with some ever popular Hesian.
****************
Then backtracking home the following day DH allowed me just to quickly re-visit Little Quilt store,
(how lucky was I - in my element)
and look who I ran into - also miles from home
Cheryl (Kayly) a Nundle Annual commuter.
such small world.
You know the story right face/different place!!!!

Anyway our patient hubbies waited whilst we did a big of damage here!!

and so.... back home I now am, and finind  new homes for all the "little bits".

All inspired, and ready to get stuck back onto my favourite pastime of Stitching!!!!!

It was wonderful to meet you. I loved the Little Quilt Shop and hope to get back there one day. You must have had the fastest trip to fit in all those shops, but what fun.137 celihno
